Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Pepe and Thomas Muller undergo ice bucket challenge – in comical cartoon satire
Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez had their ice bucket challenges ridiculed in a comical cartoon satire.
The ice bucket challenge has become a viral phenomena after it was created by the ALS Association, who are trying to raise awareness about Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease or Motor Neurone Disease in the UK.
Several managers and footballers – including Ronaldo, Messi and Suarez – have readily accepted the challenge with the trio’s attempts, alongside Pepe and Thomas Muller, now featuring in an hilarious cartoon created by 44Toons.
Ronaldo is the first player to have ice-cold water dumped on him in the video but, in reference to his almost nude real-life attempt, the Portugal star insists on doing the challenge topless.
The Real Madrid winger then nominates Barcelona rival Lionel ‘Messigician’ who uses his wizardry powers to avoid getting soaked before the Argentine chooses his new teammate at the Camp Nou, ‘Chewy’ Suarez, to do the challenge next.
The Uruguay international is less than impressed with his soaking – which drives him to try and bite the person who nominated him – while Pepe and Muller take part in an hilarious exchange, which pokes fun at the pair’s coming together during a World Cup match in Brazil earlier this summer.
