Willem II claimed their first points of the Eredivisie season with a 3-0 victory over AZ on Saturday.
The Tilburg outfit had lost their opening two games but goals from Bruno Andrade, Ali Messaoud and Charlton Vicento handed them a convincing victory on Saturday.
Heerenveen also grabbed their first win of the season but they left it late to beat Excelsior 2-0.
Visiting goalkeeper Jordy Deckers was sent off in the 82nd minute and, with all three substitutions already used, that proved to be turning point as Marten de Roon opened the scoring two minutes later and Sam Larsson grabbed a second a minute from time.
In the day's other game, Go Ahead Eagles and FC Dordrecht played out a goalless draw.
