Pawan Kalyan birthday special: Fans wish the Power Star ‘Happy Birthday’
Pawan Kalyan aka Power Star Pawan Kalyan was born on September 2, 1971. He is a Telugu film actor, director, writer and politician and the younger brother of legendary actor-politican Chiranjeevi. With the fame ofChiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan entered the Telugu film industry with Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi in 1996, which gave him a debut hit.
Later, he built his own fan following with the blockbuster movie Tholi Prema, released in 1998, winning a National Award. He continued this success stream with Thammudu and Badri. His biggest blockbuster Kushi, released in 2001 broke all the records in the Telugu film industry and made him a trendsetter.
Pawan Kalyan faced a tough time after this success, but his following kept increasing without any regard to hits and flops. He came back to form with Gabbar Singh in 2013, which again broke all Telugu cinema records until now. Pawan Kalyan’s latest movie Attarintiki Daaredi in 2013 had suffered piracy before release. But the movie became a blockbuster at the box office without any regard to pre-release piracy. This clearly shows his power, stamina and unlimited fan following, which took him from a common man to a being a force.
Apart from cinema, Pawan Kalyan had been very conscious towards society and its welfare. This lead him towards politics, by starting Jana Sena Party in 2014, which showed its power in the 2014 Lok Sabha Elections campaigning for BJP-TDP alliance.
Now, Pawan Kalyan is all set to release his Telugu movie Gopala Gopala that also stars Venkatesh Daggubati, Mithun Chakraborty and Shriya Saran. His forthcoming Telugu movie is Gabbar Singh 2, under the direction of Sampath Nandi.
