Karan Johar to Co-produce Film on Hockey Legend Dhyan Chand

Mumbai — Filmmaker Karan Johar is set to co-produce a biopic on the life of hockey greate Dhyan Chand.
The late Olympic winner is considered the greatest field hockey player of all time. Johar took to Twitter to announce that he has acquired the rights to make the biopic.
"My friends Pooja, Aarti Shetty and I are honored and proud to have the rights to tell the story of the legendary sportsman Dhyan Chand," the director tweeted.
Recently, a biopic on Indian cricket team captain M.S. Dhoni, titled “M.S. Dhoni - The Untold Story,” was announced. Actor Sushant Singh Rajput will play Dhoni in the film, to be directed by Neeraj Pandey.
The lives of Indian athletes like Paan Singh Tomar, Milkha Singh and Mary Kom have also been brought to the big screen in the form of biopics.
